Best Home Remedies for Cure Dandruff

Dandruff is a common hair problem of all. Everyone loses skin cells. Our skin continuously renews itself; dead cells from the scalp fall off as new cells form beneath them. With dandruff this process is quicker, so a greater number of cells are shed. This means the cells shed in flakes. Many skin specialists agree that dandruff can be caused by sensitivity to the Malassezia furfur fungus, previously called Pityrosporum ovale.

Prevent dandruff completely is difficult, but it can be controlled. Here are some helpful tips for cure dandruff.

1. Add few China rose leaves to a glass of water. Boiled it for 10 minutes and squeezed a lime juice in the mixture. Apply this mixture to the hair before shampooing.

2. Mixed Amla and shikaki powder with curd. Use this mixture as a good conditioner.

3. Mix lemon and mustard oil, apply gently on hair and wash your head after about half an hour.

4. Mixed 6-8 drops of lemon juice with an egg and apply on your hair followed by washing with herbal shampoo.

5. Warm 4-5 tablespoons olive oil or coconut oil. Massage well into the scalp. Soak a towel in hot water and squeeze lightly. Cover your hair with this for 10 minutes and do try this for almost a week. This is the most commonly known cure for dandruff.

6. Mustard oil boiled with heena (mehndi) leaves is useful for the healthy growth of hair.

7. Impart 2 tablespoons of fresh or dried rosemary and sage in 1 gallon of water for 24 hours. Use daily as a hair rinse.

8. Crush a tablespoon of fenugreek seeds in about 5 tablespoons of warm coconut or olive oil. It would be better to boil them in the oil. Cool the mixture and apply generously all over the scalp. Leave it on for two hours. Rinse and wash off. This will helps to get rid of dandruff.

9. Taking bath with a few drops of Dettol added to the water helps in checking the infection.

10. Drink 10-12 glasses of water daily and have a high protein diet with plenty of fruits, raw salads( cabbage, tomato, cucumber, radish, carrot etc.) , minerals, vitamins( especially vitamin A), green leafy vegetables, and raw foods.
